Withdraw money from ATM without using Debit Card
Ease of banking, Steps to ATM cash withdrawal from your account without using your debit card
Withdraw money from ATM: The government has taken many initiatives to open bank accounts of people in India. This has maximized the issuance of ATM Cards which are also called Debit Cards to every bank’s customers. The usage of the ATM has increased very rapidly as withdrawing money from ATM is very convenient and quick thus people are very frequently visiting ATMs to withdraw money rather than going to the bank and doing the transaction. Whenever there is a festival, we see a long queue in front of ATMs in India. Not everyone carries an ATM card, without which people are not able to withdraw money conveniently.

Issues in carrying card
Also, there are many consequences of carrying a debit card, some of which are Loss of Bank Card, people forgetting them in ATM cards, Stealing and cloning of ATM Cards, damage to card due to regular use. The customer must complain to the banks by visiting banks personally which is again a problem in the present busy and hectic schedule.
Now As the RBI has directed all the banks to provide the feature of card less cash to customers, banks have found the solution with the help of technology, which enables the user to withdraw money from ATMs without actually using their card. The feature has been launched to help the people in case of urgency when they don’t carry their debit card. There is a cost involved in issuing debit cards to the customer as well as the bank in case of damage to the card and in case of loss of card. This feature is available in almost every white label ATM across the country. The feature involves NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) and UPI (Unified Payments Interface) and their authentication.

How to use Canara Bank App to withdraw money from ATM without Debit Card
Canara Bank is the bank which has launched the feature long back. To use the feature in Canara Bank, the user has to login to the mobile banking App. Canara Bank mobile banking app name is “Ai1” (previously Candi) and has the feature Cardless Cash. The tab will lead the user to a page where details like bank account number, contact details and ATM card details will be automatically fetched by the app.
The customer has to enter the amount which he wants to withdraw from the ATM. Also, he has to enter one time using a 4 digit pin. This pin, the user will use when he actually goes to the ATM and accesses the feature in the ATM. Then the customer has to enter the MPIN of the mobile banking. By doing this, the bank will get to know that you want to withdraw money from an ATM with a card.

How to use ICICI Bank App to withdraw money from ATM without Debit Card
Similarly, for ICICI Bank customers, the customers have to log in their mobile banking app. Now the user will go to the Cardless cash feature and set the amount and 4-digit temporary pin. You can also select the account number if you have linked more than one account to the mobile banking app. After doing this you will get a confirmation message from ICICI bank which the customer has to agree and submit. After this customer will receive a 6-digit pin which will be valid for only 6 hours. That’s it. Now customers have to visit any ICICI bank ATM and use the cardless cash feature by entering a temporary pin, 6-digit pin received from ICICI bank and registered mobile number.
Almost every bank in India has enabled this feature which works almost the same in every bank case. There are many advantages to this feature. One which is my favorite is that the customer himself need not visit the ATM, he can tell the details after setting up in a mobile banking app and that person on behalf of the customer can get the money from the ATM. This can help parents and students who are staying away from each other to study but only in India. Also aged customers can get help in getting cash from ATMs with the help of this feature.
